After nearly two weeks of spirited rehearsals and cultural activities, German and Chinese students at the Expeditionary-led joint workshop in Shanghai were ready to present their hard-earned results.
With pieces ranging from the baroque to the modern era, and spanning both the Eastern and Western musical canons, this truly was a monumental performance in terms of diversity and richness. Nearly a dozen soloists had the privilege of performing at Shanghai's largest concert hall with completely sold-out seats and officials from various governmental and non-governmental organizations present.
Apart from orchestral works, our students also performed in smaller ensembles under the direct supervision of our instructors, such as the Cello Quartet.
